If you are a Jaguar Lover, you definitly know Daimler. But not many people know that Daimler is the oldest British car brand. It was the car choice of the Royal family for many years, even way before Rolls Royce existed. In 1960 Jaguar bought Daimler and started to develop again very luxury limousines. Based on the Jaguar XJ-40, the Daimler 4.0i was the top of the bill in the Jaguar range. In 2007 the last Daimler was built. In 2008 Jaguar and Land Rover was taken over by Tata. We must wait what the future will bring for Daimler, or was this the end of this great make?
